A 92-year-old islander has been praised as the "driving force" behind the enduring success of a local ladies golf club which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.
Margaret Vautier was one of the women who established Les Mielles Ladies Golf Club in 1989.
The 92-year-old still "continues to inspire" the younger generation of female golfing talent on the island, according to a spokesperson for the club.
Golfers of all levels are welcomed to Les Mielles which has created a "welcoming and competitive environment" and a "thriving community", thanks to Margaret's influence.

"Margaret's love for the game and her dedication to the club have been a driving force behind its enduring success.
"Her involvement in the club’s early days helped lay the foundation for what has become one of the island's most cherished sporting institutions."
As well as helping to found Les Mielles Ladies, Margaret has also been a mentor to "countless golfers" over the years.
"Her presence at the club, even now, is a reminder of the values of sportsmanship and community that Les Mielles stands for," the spokesperson said.
To commemorate the 35th anniversary of Les Mielles Ladies Golf Club, a Texas Scramble event for past and present members has been planned for Friday 11 October followed by a dinner.
