Founder of Confidante, Advocate Carly James, has built an innovative firm that harnesses technology to enhance and modernise the delivery of family law services.
The next-generation family law firm, which launched this month, is borne out of a strong belief that family legal services should be delivered more efficiently, minimising the stress and cost to clients.
A new perspective on family law
Carly, former Partner of a local firm with over 15 years’ experience as a family law specialist, had a very clear vision when creating Confidante:
“I wanted to create a client-centric firm which goes beyond what other family law services are already providing on the Island. By taking a fresh look at family law, we have harnessed technology to simplify the process and educate and empower clients. I am confident that by modernising the delivery of family law, we offer a more efficient service and clients will experience a more positive legal journey.”
Designed to improve the client experience
Carly was determined to smooth the process for her clients:
“Having spent far too long feeling frustrated on behalf of my clients that family law processes often increased clients’ stress levels and legal bills, I decided that a new approach was required. I identified common roadblocks in clients’way and built a firm that, with the support of technology, removes as many of them as possible.”
Having identified a gap in the market for a technology lead firm, it became Confidante’s mission to ensure that all its clients, irrespective of their technical capabilities, were able to benefit from the complimentary and intuitive tools.
Confidante empowers its clients by allowing them to decide which of the tools they believe will suit their needs and enhance their journey.
