Natural Jersey regret that Jersey in Bloom 2020 has been cancelled. The following is the notice that was sent to all of their members earlier this week:
Due to the unprecedented circumstances we all find ourselves in, the Natural Jersey team has in line with RHS decision to cancel Britain in Bloom, similarly decided to cancel this year’s ‘Jersey in Bloom’.
Our decision was not taken lightly, as we are aware of how much hard work has already been put in across the parishes. However, realistically no-one can expect any parish group to be able to fulfil their programmes, when there is little or no prospect of working with schools or community groups, or indeed with our business community who are themselves under such great strain.
The team know that you will be disappointed, but under the circumstances perhaps also relieved.
We will come thorough this stronger and better than ever and we look forward to 2021 being a new chapter in the history of ‘Jersey in Bloom’
