Rubis have shared a statement on how they are maintaining a continuous fuel supply to the island.
We know how important it is to keep our island fuelled so that front line services and emergency responders can do their job and help keep us all safe.
We have robust contingency measures in place, which are regularly tested to make sure we can keep the island moving during a crisis.
We are always fully prepared for emergencies, and so we, likewise other fuel distributors, have plenty of stock stored at, La Collette Terminal. We also have excellent relations and a robust supply chain in place with refineries.
Rubis forecourts are independently owned and managed and each may operate in slightly different ways, but we are in regular contact with them and they have their own plans in place. The important thing is the Island is well stocked, so there is no need to panic buy.
The safety of our customers and our teams is our utmost priority and we have updated our procedures so our staff are focused on maintaining as normal service as possible and ensuring the islands’ energy needs are met. Our fuel imports and deliveries are now taking place with reinforced health and safety conditions.
