Accounting specialist joins Hawksford as an Associate Director

International corporate, private client and funds business Hawksford have appointed an accounting specialist with 12 years’ industry experience as an Associate Director.

Bobby Stirling will have oversight of Hawksford’s client accounting team and working closely with senior staff, will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of financial statements and book-keeping services and consistent client delivery.

He brings extensive technical knowledge and the application of accounting standards, including United Kingdom Accounting Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards and the US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, to the role.

Mr Stirling joins Hawksford from BDO Limited in Jersey where he was a senior manager. Before this he joined PwC Jersey’s graduate programme in 2004 and progressed through to manager level. Mr Stirling also gained experience in London and Sydney through short terms secondments whilst working with PwC. 

He said: “My in depth technical knowledge of accounting standards and the structures provided to our existing and expanding client base will be of great advantage when assisting the client teams in delivering an impeccable service and applying industry best practice.”

A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Mr Stirling also holds a Masters of Information Management from Strathclyde University and Bachelor of Accountancy from Glasgow University.
