Andium Homes buys new offices

Friday 01 August 2014

Andium Homes, the States-owned company that has taken over from the old States Housing department, is to move to new premises at 33-35 Don Street in the New Year.

The new address will provide a better service for customers, with a more central location, nearby disabled parking, wheelchair friendly access, a larger reception area and private meeting rooms.

The move has been welcomed by the Housing Minister, Deputy Andrew Green, who has long been concerned at the inadequate facilities at the current offices in Jubilee Wharf.

The move will benefit the States of Jersey Office Strategy, by freeing up space at Jubilee Wharf for use by other States’ departments, enabling the States to consider the disposal of valuable sites elsewhere from the States property portfolio.

The move will also give value for money, as savings in rent for Jubilee Wharf will repay the acquisition cost within seven years and thereafter these savings will be available for re-investment in additional new and affordable homes.
