Appleby has added to its commercial property proposition with a formerly Abu Dhabi-based new recruit.
Lawyer Jonathan Anderson (pictured) will join Appleby’s Jersey branch after a year practising in the UAE, where he worked on numerous property deals including advising a developer on a 400-unit residential development on Saadiyat Island.
The Legal 500 lawyer also brings five years of Guernsey experience with him, where he regularly advised Channel Island property developers on the purchase, sale, development and leasing of commercial property.
Tim Hart, partner and head of Appleby’s Jersey property practice, said that Appleby was “delighted” to welcome Mr Anderson to the team.
“He is a lawyer with extensive knowledge in the commercial property field across multiple jurisdictions. The expansion to our team strengthens our ability to provide exceptional services for commercial and residential property clients in Jersey,” he added.
Speaking about his new role, Mr Anderson commented: “I am excited to be joining Appleby and very much looking forward to working with Tim and the team and contributing to what is already a very strong and highly regarded property practice."
