Jersey is in the running to be named 'International Finance Centre of the Year' for the tenth year in a row in the Citywealth IFC Awards.
The island, which was handed the accolade for the ninth year in a row earlier this year, is up against Bermuda, Cayman, DIFC, Delaware, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and South Dakota.
Many Jersey firms have also been shortlisted in various categories of the awards, which aim to recognise the excellence among advisers and managers in the private wealth sector.
The awards are judged by an expert panel and an online vote which closes on 5 November 2021 with the awards announced at a gala dinner on 26 January 2022.
Local law firm Dickinson Gleeson has been shortlisted in four categories, including for Boutique Law Firm of the Year, an award it has won for the past four years. Ardent Chambers and Corbett Le Quesne are also in the running for the award.

In addition, Dickinson Gleeson has been shortlisted for Team of the Year – Litigation Department, and Partner Craig Swart has been nominated for Advisor of the Year – Succession Planning/Trusts award.
Alongside Appleby, Bedell Cristin, Carey Olsen, Mourant, Ogier, Voisin Law and Walkers, it is also in the running for the Law Firm of the Year - Jersey award.

Zoe Blomfield, Managing Partner at Viberts, said she was "delighted" her firm had been nominated for Law Firm of the Year, adding: “Being shortlisted is testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone within the firm and the continued support of our valued clients.”

Rathbones has been nominated in Investment Management Company of the Year - Channel Islands and Isle of Man category.
Meanwhile, Managing Director Jonathan Giles has been nominated again in the Investment Manager of the Year - Channel Islands and Isle of Man category.
“We are thrilled to once again be recognised by Citywealth and we’re working hard to retain the award,” Mr Giles said. “It’s a testament to the excellent team we have here in Jersey, dedicated to delivering a high quality portfolio management and service.”

Investec Bank (Channel Islands) Limited is on the shortlist in the Private Bank of the Year Channel Islands and Isle of Man category.
Brendan Stewart, CEO of Investec in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, is listed for the Private Banker of the Year Award.
Meanwhile, Investec's Head of Private Banking, Kay Parnwell has been nominated and shortlisted in the category ‘Woman of the Year Professional Services' in Citywealth's Powerwomen Awards.

Accuro, Alex Picot Trust, Crestbridge, IQ-EQ, Hawksford, JTC, Ocorian, Pentera, RBC Wealth Management and Trident Trust are all up for the ‘Trust Company of the Year’ award.
