Jersey-based company CleanTech Lithium has recently hired a Head of Communications and ESG.
Nick Baxter is joining the company to lead on communications and investor relations after working in London at the award-winning sustainability communications agency Blurred.
He has previously worked at the Natural History Museum and Freuds, one of the largest independent PR companies in the UK.
CleanTech Lithium’s aim is to supply clean battery-grade lithium for Electric Vehicles by advancing Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology.
It is applying this technology for the first time in Chile, where CleanTech Lithium has wholly owned licences across three key projects, totally over 500 sq km to explore, develop and supply lithium globally.
Lithium is seen as a critical component to reach net-zero targets and move to decarbonised economies.
The unprecedented demand for lithium means it must be sourced, produced and refined with the lowest environmental impact and in the interests of all stakeholders. DLE technology has this advantage and why CleanTech Lithium is calling it ‘green’ lithium.
