Monday 09 September 2024
The Jersey Institute of Directors has shared the shortlist of those nominated in the 2024 Director of the Year Awards.
27 individuals feature on the shortlist for the awards, which celebrate strong leadership and recognise excellence across the private, public and third sectors of Jersey’s community.
The finalists were decided by an independent judging panel chaired by Lisa Springate, former IoD Chair and Head of Legal and Technical at Jersey Finance. She was joined by:
- Heather MacCallum, former KPMG partner and now a non-executive director
- Daragh McDermott, CEO, JT Group
- Helen Ruelle, Director of Local Legal Services, Ogier
- Phil Slatter, Founder and CEO, Reel Creative
- Kevin Lemasney, Former Head of High Value Residency, Locate Jersey
- Fiona Vacher, Executive Director, Jersey Childcare Trust
Lisa Springate, chair of the independent panel of judges, said: "This year marks the 14th anniversary of the IoD Awards in Jersey, as well as 14 years of continued sponsorship by Appleby. What truly stands out this year, is the remarkable diversity of industry sectors represented, making this year's entries particularly exciting."
Alex Ruddy, Chair, IoD Jersey, added: "This year’s finalists prove that Jersey’s leadership talent is thriving across all areas of the economy, not just the finance sector. The independent judging panel has selected finalists who have shown impressive business acumen and a commitment to driving positive change within their organisations and the wider local community.
"It is exciting and refreshing to see leaders from such a wide range of industries being recognised for their contributions. This year’s awards ceremony will be a special celebration of Jersey’s dynamic business landscape, and we look forward to coming together to honour their achievements for what promises to be an unforgettable evening".
This year's enchanted forest-themed gala will take place at the RJA&HS on Friday 8 November 2024.
