He has also led a number of other advisory engagements for local trust and corporate administration businesses.
Alongside his considerable professional experience, Mr Gardner is a founder member of the Legal and Regulatory Committee of the Channel Islands’ Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Experts – a member association of INSOL. He is also a member of R3 (Association of Business Recovery Professionals) and frequently contributes his expertise to industry through speaking engagements.
Andrew Dann, Channel Island Managing Partner at EY said: “Our Transaction Advisory team works across Guernsey, Jersey and the UK, providing our clients with exceptional service and experience of liquidations and restructuring across all industries. We are seeing an increased appetite for mergers and acquisitions, as well as strategic voluntary wind ups – all at a time when the Channel Islands’ insolvency regimes are under review.
“Stuart will be in the unique position of being the only fully licensed appointment taking insolvency practitioner within a "big four" firm in the Channel Islands. He will be working closely with our London practice and brings with him a wealth of experience from working on corporate insolvencies in the UK, which is complemented further by his unparalleled Channel Islands experience.”
