Clive Jones has been appointed to the board of the Stanley Gibbons Groups as an independent non-executive director.
Mr Jones, who spent his whole career in the banking and finance industry, was the unitary financial services regulator in Jersey, for four years prior to his retirement from the role in October 2013.
Mr Jones said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board of Stanley Gibbons at such an exciting time in its development.”
From 1996 to 2007 he was the Country Officer for Citigroup in the Channel Islands, also acting as the Chairman and Managing Director of Citibank (Channel Islands) and managing the private banking business with $7 billion banking assets under management. He is a past president of the Jersey Bankers Association, former chairman of the Jersey Finance Industry Association and a founder and past board member of Jersey Finance Limited. He has the chaired the board of trustees of Jersey Heritage since 2008, having joined as a trustee in 2005.
The Chairman of the Board of Stanley Gibbons, Martin Bralsford, said: “We are very pleased that Clive has agreed to join our board. His extensive experience of corporate governance, financial regulation and wealth management will be a great asset to us.”
