FinTech firm, Infrasoft Technologies, recently invited four Hautlieu ICT students from Jersey to their HQ in Mumbai, India, as a part of their corporate citizenship program.

The programme aims to provide 'talented Gen z-ers' with opportunities to learn about the new-age digital technologies as well as experience projects across business and corporate functions.

Four secondary school students from Hautlieu, who study ICT as part of their curriculum, were invited on a Work Placement programme.

They spent a a week at InfrasoftTech’s HQ learning about current and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Robotics and Open Banking amongst others.

In addition, they also had an interactive session with Rajesh Mirjankar, Managing Director & CEO at InfrasoftTech, discussing the current technology trends and how they impact the world we live in and the way emerging technologies will shape the future.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for these students, not only to learn about the digital landscape in a worldwide setting but also to do this in such a unique and culturally rich environment," said Dave Roworth, Director from Skills Jersey. "Thanks to InfrasoftTech, all Jersey students with high aspirations, will know of the exciting and innovative opportunities can be found on their doorstep.”

Rajesh Mirjankar, Group CEO, InfrasoftTech, said it has been a pleasure to welcome the students to their Mumbai offices. "They are the future workforce of the Island, and we were glad to contribute to their experience & knowledge about fintech," he added. 

"The aim of the initiative was to provide a platform to the young talents to work with our experts and get them future-ready. InfrasoftTech is focused to support local talent and contribute to the development of skills in the Channel Islands”.

Tony Moretta, CEO Digital Jersey, congratulated the applicants to the InfrasoftTech’s Work Placement programme, which he described as, "...a brilliant opportunity to gain international experience in one of the world’s most dynamic tech cluster, Mumbai. It’s a fantastic example of the opportunities available in the digital industries and the pathways open to local students."
