Jersey businesswomen dominate a list of “powerful women” in the private wealth management industry.
Three dozen have been named in Citywealth’s IFC Power Women Top 200 list, which features women working in a wide range of areas including government, private wealth, private client advisory, and philanthropy
Representing almost one fifth of all those listed, professionals working in the Island outnumber those from any other jurisdiction.
Geoff Cook, CEO of Jersey Finance, said it was great to see so many local private client experts recognised for their achievements in this list.
“It speaks volumes about the finance industry in Jersey, the extent to which those women working in the industry are opinion formers internationally, and the opportunities the industry offers for all talented people,” he said.
The 2014 list is designed to celebrate and acknowledge powerful women with diverse backgrounds. It has been compiled from a number of sources, including last year’s list, the 2014 Citywealth Leaders list, and a number of recommendations from leading figures in the financial services industry.
