Two local business women received honours at the Citywealth Powerwomen awards.

Mourant Ozannes Partner, Helen Ruelle, won a Bronze Award in the 'Woman of the Year – Rising Star' category.

On winning the Bronze Award, Helen Ruelle said: "Any industry recognition is of course a personal honour, but for peers and clients to have taken the time to vote for me is truly a great accolade and I would like to thank everyone who took the time to do so."

The Citywealth Power Women Awards spotlight individuals and companies who support care giving responsibilities, female leadership and celebrate diversity, and who maximise the potential of women in leadership roles within the wealth sector to create a platform for best practice to collectively exercise positive social influence in their industry.

Louise Bracken-Smith, Managing Director at the Fairway Group, received a bronze award within the category ‘Women of the Year: Leadership (Professional Services, IFC).

On winning the award, Louise Bracken-Smith said: “I am delighted to have been recognised by Citywealth in the leadership category against such tough competition. Their efforts to champion female leaders in the wealth sector is outstanding and it is an honour to stand alongside their 2017 winners."

The winners were announced last Wednesday night in London at a gala dinner attended by business leaders from the world of private wealth.
