The achievements of leaders from all sectors of the Island’s economy have been recognised at the IoD Jersey Directors of the Year awards.
Claire Boscq-Scott of 4 Star Services, Chris Clark of Prosperity 24.7, Mark Pesco of First Names Group, Ben Davies founder and editor of Gallery Magazine, John McGuinness head teacher at Grainville School and Mark Loane of C5 Alliance beat off strong competition to top their categories.
The chairman of the judgIng panel, Eliot Lincoln, founder of Greenlight and a past winner - and the current UK National winner of the IoD Young Director of the Year - was impressed by the strength of the nominations.
“So many high quality nominations made the judging extremely challenging,” he said.
The awards were set up five years ago to recognise from all areas of the economy - private, public and third sectors. This year’s process culminated in a celebration of excellence, innovation and best practice in Jersey business at a gala dinner hosted by writer, broadcaster, former MP and Gyles Brandreth at the Radisson Hotel.
