Local law firm Le Gallais and Luce have appointed their first female managing partner in the firm's 90 year history.
At 36, Marianne Shaw is also the youngest partner to ever be appointed to the position of Managing Partner at Le Gallais and Luce.
Ms Shaw has been a partner at the firm since 2016 and heads the wills and probate team.
She said that she was "excited" to be taking on the new role at a time when the firm was expanding. “The partners are dedicated to driving the business forward and strengthening the firm’s position within the community as a trusted provider of legal services, the management of which I am sure will keep me and the team very busy," she said.
"I have worked very hard to reach my current position and I am extremely thankful to my fellow partners for supporting me and allowing me this opportunity.”
Senior Partner Tony del Amo added: “The announcement of Marianne’s appointment is a great way to round off the firm’s 90th anniversary year. The partners are extremely proud of Marianne and what she has achieved during her time at the firm. She is a highly valued member of the management team and is well liked and respected by clients and peers alike. I am confident that with Marianne’s appointment the firm is in safe hands for the future.”
