Listings first for a local law firm - and a first for Jersey.

Advocate Barbara Corbett is the only Jersey family lawyer mentioned for dispute resolution in the latest Legal 500 Directory.

Historically, family law in Jersey has not been recognised by the directory, with the focus instead falling on other areas of the law. However, this year, Advocate Barbara Corbett of Hanson Renouf, has been mentioned as both a “key player” and a “family law specialist”.

The Legal 500 assesses the strengths of law firms in 106 jurisdictions and ranks the best of these in a directory that is updated annually.  The rankings are based on a series of criteria: feedback from 250,000 clients worldwide; submissions from law firms and interviews with leading private practice lawyers; and a team of researchers who have unrivalled experience in the legal market.

Hanson Renouf has been ranked every year since the firm’s formation in 2005 and for years has been able to count listed “leading lawyers” among their ranks. Hanson Renouf is ranked for dispute resolution and employment law, and all partners of the firm, as well as other lawyers, are named in the editorial.
