Local ‘Powerwomen’ recognised

A number of women working in local firms have been recognised as 'key players' within the international community of wealth management.

Now in its sixth year, the Citywealth's International Powerwomen's Top 100 list is part of the wider Citywealth Leaders List, considered as the leading directory for industry professionals where clients and peers can nominate individuals to be included.

Oak Group’s Managing Director, Nicola Gott, made the list along with her Isle of Man counterpart, Tanya O’Carroll.

“Being recognised by Citywealth as International Powerwomen is high praise and certainly well deserved by Tanya and Nicola,” said Oak Group’s CEO, Stuart Platt-Ransom.

Farah Ballands, Estera's Chief Executive Officer, is also listed among the top Powerwomen.

Six leading professionals from Mourant were also included in Citywealth’s list, more than any other offshore law firm.

Partners Felicia de Laat, Jessica Roland and Rachael McDonald all feature, alongside Counsel Catherine Moore, Senior Associate Rachel Guthrie and Mourant Governance Services Associate Director, Lily Oliveira.

Mr Rigby also noted that this year marks the first time Mourant Governance Services has featured on the list, with the inclusion of Associate Director Oliveira. "It's fantastic to see the recognition extended to our Governance Services team. Lily is a core member of the leadership team in Guernsey and we're very proud to see her achieve this well-deserved industry recognition."

Collas Crill Parter Kellyann Ozouf was listed along with Guernsey Partner, Angela Calnan, both of whom have already been recognised by Citywealth this year.

“Both Angela and Kellyann are extremely strong leaders within their fields, so while it is no surprise to me that they have received this recognition, I am of course delighted for them,” said Group Managing Partner, Jason Romer.

“Our IPCT teams are highly regarded across the board, and their continued success means both the Guernsey and Jersey teams have grown this year, and this will continue in 2020.”

Louise Bracken-Smith, founder and CEO of Fairway Group, has made the Citywealth's list for the sixth year in a row.

Mrs Bracken-Smith commented: “Of course I’m very happy to have been part of the list over the past six years but what I think impresses me most is the growing depth of female talent at managerial and executive levels across the industry.”
