Wednesday 01 October 2014

Mourant Ozannes has advised Hermes Real Estate on the £430 million sale of three business parks to asset management groups Oaktree Capital Management and Patrizia.

Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Limited is a long-term and highly valued client of the law firm and is one of the largest real estate managers in the UK.

The Mourant Ozannes team advising Hermes was led by partner Advocate James Hill and assisted by senior associate Iain Millar. Mourant Ozannes provided Jersey law advice on all aspects of the disposal.

James Hill commented: "It has been hugely satisfying to work with Hermes on this high profile transaction from inception through to exchange and completion. We have been working regularly with Hermes for some time now and it has been pleasing to assist them with this major disposal."

Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP acted as the English legal advisers to Hermes. Reed Smith LLP and Carey Olsen advised the purchasers. The industrial business parks are Chineham Park in Basingstoke, Birchwood Park in Warrington and Hillington Park in Glasgow.
