Appleby has welcomed a new Group Partner in its Jersey office and a new Advocate.
Taking on the former role is Christophe Kalinauckas, a Jersey Advocate who specialises in corporate and private equity work, debt finance and real estate finance matters.
Prior to joining Appleby, the Advocate, who is also admitted as a Cayman Islands Attorney and non-practising English lawyer, worked for over 15 years in private practice in Jersey and in the Cayman Islands, at two major offshore firms.
“I look forward to using my expertise to enhance the capability of the team further, providing offshore legal advice in areas such as Corporate, Banking, Finance and Capital Markets," he said.
Meanwhile, Corporate Team Senior Associate Paul Worsnop was last week sworn in as an Advocate in the Royal Court.

“The current restrictions meant today’s ceremony wasn’t quite what it otherwise might have been but it was still an excellent way to mark all the hard work my classmates and I have put in over the last two years," he said.
"I am very grateful to the Royal Court for doing everything they could in difficult circumstances and making today such a success. I am sure we will all be celebrating tonight in whatever way we can!”
Corporate Practice Group Head Andrew Weaver commented: “We are pleased to have Christophe Kalinauckas join our thriving and growing team. Congratulations also to Paul Worsnop for being sworn-in as a Jersey Advocate. Both announcements underline our strategic objective to reinforce our position as one of the leading offshore firms both globally and in Jersey.”
