The Institute of Directors has announced a new Chair who hopes to use her position to focus on "the next generation of leaders".
A chartered accountant with over 25 years experience in the finance industry, Alexendra Ruddy is also the founding Director of Oben Law & Regulatory.
She was voted in as Chair at the IoD Annual Members' Meeting this week having already worked closely with outgoing Chair, Natasha Egre, on a number of previous projects.
Mrs Ruddy is also a branch ambassador and Chair of the Industry subcommittee, working with a broad spectrum of industry leaders, Ministers and Government officials on matters impacting the island's economy.
On her aims in her new role, she said: “There is a misconception that the IoD is a body solely aimed at senior executives.
"The future of the IoD, and indeed Jersey business, is harnessed in the next generation of leaders and they, rightly, need a voice in decisions being made now."
Acknowledging the work of her predecessor, Mrs Ruddy added: "I would like to thank Natasha for her drive, measured approach to matters and her unwavering support of the IoD.
"The membership has thrived under her tenure and we have built a collegiate team.
"I am very much looking forward to building on these sound foundations.”
