The Jersey Association of Directors and Officers has announced a new appointment at the top.
At a reception on Tuesday 16th September Vernon Breese, the founder and chairman of the Association handed over leadership to Gayle Swanson.
Vernon said: “I am very pleased to be handing over a thriving association which continues to attract interest from an ever broadening community of professional directors.
"During the first three years of remarkable growth, JADO has run a number of successful initiatives including the Women in Leadership and Director Development programmes.
"We are delighted that Gayle has accepted our invitation to chair the group, and we are looking forward to her continuing these and other initiatives. Gayle is just who we need to maintain the momentum and drive”.
Vernon went on to thank longstanding supporters Senator Alan Maclean; old and new Association members and the sponsors of the event, Quilter Cheviot.
Gayle introduced the evening’s sponsor and afterwards said “It was a very welcome surprise to be asked to chair JADO and I am looking forward to working with the committee and Association members on current and future initiatives”.
JADO was established by Vernon in May 2011 and has grown in membership to over 175 today.
