New partner at Dickinson Gleeson

Advocate Craig Swart will join Dickinson Gleeson as a Partner this week.

Formerly a partner with Loon & Connellan of Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Advocate Swart moved to Jersey in 2002 with his wife Debbie and family. He was admitted as an attorney and notary in South Africa in 1996 (currently non-practising) and re-qualified as an English Solicitor (currently non-practising) in 2005. He was admitted as a Jersey Advocate in July 2009.

Advocate Swart presently advises trustees, fiduciaries, settlors and beneficiaries in relation to a variety of private wealth structures. He also has extensive experience in working alongside the Viscount and other relevant office holders in relation to insolvency matters, as well as acting in relation to a number of complex trust and company litigation cases before the Jersey courts.

Having initially worked with Advocate Anthony Dessain at Bedell Cristin, Advocate Swart has been working with Mourant Ozannes since 2007, specializing in non-contentious and contentious matters involving international trusts and privatetrusts, private client and insolvency.

His work is recognized in the leading directories. He has been ranked as an ‘Associate to watch’ in Chambers, and listed as a Prominent Figure in the Citywealth Leading Lawyers List, for the last two years running.
