Ogier has made two senior promotions in its Jersey office.
The law firm has promoted corporate and finance lawyer Laura Malpass to Senior Associate and private wealth specialist Richard Laignel to Managing Associate.
Ms Malpass has experience in private practice roles in the City, Jersey and BVI, as well as in-house roles and secondments in the banking, energy and logistics sectors.
Commenting on her appointment, Advocate Simon Dinning, Ogier's Global Head of Corporate, said: "Laura's broad range of experience makes her an essential part of our team advising on both corporate and finance matters.
"Her previous experience at City firms means that she understands both the onshore and offshore elements of the transactions that we advise on, and we know from feedback that clients value that professional perspective."
Mr Laignel, a key member of Ogier's Employee Incentives and Pensions team, was admitted as an Advocate of the Royal Court in 2017.
James Campbell, Head of Private Wealth, commented: "Among both clients and colleagues Richard is known for his calm and organised approach to his work, together with his high technical ability. We are delighted to recognise Richard's achievements in this promotion."
