PwC has strengthened its senior leadership team in the Channel Islands with the appointment of new Partners and Directors.
Ian Tait has been appointed Partner in the Jersey-based assurance practice and will be reponsible for leading and shaping the company's strategic direction locally and beyond.
With almost two decades of experience with the company, Mr Tait is the PwC's current Real Estate Leader for Jersey, and the firm said he brings extensive multi-jurisdictional experience to his new role.
Jersey-based Irshad Amajee has also been promoted to External Audit Director. He first joined PwC South Africa in 2013 and relocated to Jersey in 2016, becoming a Senior Manager within four years.

PwC also announced two other promotions for Guernsey-based colleagues.
Evgenia Litvintseva-Demetriou has become Partner in PwC's Guernsey-based assurance practice after a long career with the company. Ms Litvintseva-Demetriou first joined PwC Cyprus in 2004 and relocated to the Channel Islands office in 2015.
Guernsey-based Callum McCutcheon has also been promoted to Advisory Director having joined the firm in 2014 after completing a Master of Arts degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
Partner and Jersey Office Leader, Lisa McClure, congratulated her Channel Island colleagues.

The appointments came after the firm made 37 other promotions across the Channel Islands, including 13 new Senior Managers and a further 20 Managers.
