Rossborough Insurance has continued its commitment to raising standards of practice and upholding its chartered insurance broker status with another employee successfully completing the Advanced Diploma in Insurance and becoming an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Head of private clients at Rossborough, Mark Vautier, recently achieved the coveted ACII status, which is a professional qualification for experienced insurance practitioners.
It provides an enhanced understanding of insurance practice, both in terms of technical subject matter and overall application skills. Successful candidates are eligible for chartered status, which demonstrates the holder’s commitment to learning, competence and ethical practice.
"The ACII qualification was quite challenging but I thoroughly enjoyed each module. I completed the Advanced Diploma over a period of four years, which was a huge commitment to undertake but the benefits to my professional development have been significant," he said.
"It has broadened my understanding of the insurance principles that are fundamental to the job. Our clients can be sure they have access to a fully qualified broker and can also feel confident about putting their trust in me as an adviser. As a result I am able to really add value to my client relationships, which is extremely rewarding."
To achieve the ACII status Mr Vautier was required to complete a number of varied and challenging units, ranging from insurance business and finance to insurance law. He was assessed through a blend of written and multiple-choice examinations, along with coursework modules.
"We are delighted that Mark has achieved his ACII status. His success is reflected in his key position as head of private clients and confirms Rossborough’s commitment to professional qualification and our status as Jersey’s leading Chartered Insurance Broker," said managing director of Rossborough, Clive de la Cour, said of Mr Vautier’s achievement.
Mr Vautier has 18 years’ experience in the insurance industry at Rossborough. He started in 1997 as a personal insurances broker, before moving into roles as a commercial motor broker, commercial broker and then as manager of private clients in Jersey. He is now head of Rossborough’s private clients offering in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
The Advanced Certificate in Insurance is a professional qualification for insurance staff working across all sectors of the industry, and the logical progression from the diploma in insurance completed by Mr Vautier in 2010. Mr Vautier becomes the 5th member of the team at Rossborough in Jersey to have achieved the ACII certificate.
