Senior appointment for Alliance

Alliance’s expansion into Jersey has continued with the appointment of Neil Macdonald as Finance Director.

The 40-year-old Chartered Accountant joins the firm just as they have announced plans to open more than one store in St Helier, selling Tesco products through a long-term partnership deal with the retail giants.

Alliance is a long-established Channel Islands company, and has been successfully selling Tesco produce in Guernsey for several months.
Mr Macdonald, who was born in Aberdeen and who attended the University of Strathclyde, was most recently employed by the Channel Island Co-operative Society. Before moving into retail, he worked at KPMG and ABN Amro in Jersey.

He said: “It’s a very exciting time for Alliance, we have a huge opportunity to progress and develop our business through the partnership with Tesco. We have a great range of products and prices, and we have plans in place to expand what we’re doing in both Jersey and Guernsey.”
Mr Macdonald is married with one daughter. His interests include badminton, football and golf.
