Sigma appointment

Sigma has appointed Bernie Hopley as IT Sales and Services Manager with a remit to further develop the successful IT business and promote its innovative range of products and services.

Stephen Moore, Director of Sigma said: "Bernie’s extensive experience of the IT market strengthens our team immensely.

"Additionally, his knowledge of all technical aspects of the industry will benefit clients old and new, as well as ensuring our own systems are continually developed and improved."

With over 25 years’ experience in the IT industry, Bernie began his career as an electronics engineer, worked for a number of IT companies in the UK, including training with IBM and HP, before moving to Jersey in 1989.

He then set up his own business which he helped grow from four to 40 before moving on to further IT roles on the Island. He also has an adult teaching qualification and teaches part-time as an IT tutor at Highlands College.

Mr Hopley said: "I am very proud to have been offered this appointment. Sigma has been providing business solutions in Jersey and Guernsey for over 35 years and is a bedrock of the Channel Islands’ IT service industry."
