SunWorks has launched a new bursary scheme to support Jersey students who may be considering a career in renewable energy
The solar energy provider will be offering a bursary of £1,500 a year to an island student looking to undertake an appropriate degree level qualification, as well as paid work experience opportunities.
SunWorks is now inviting applications and expect to be interviewing prospective candidates in December.
"We are growing fast and expect to continue to be at the centre of major changes to the energy environment," Mark Brandon, Co-Founder and MD at SunWorks, said.
"We need young people who are adaptable and environmentally aware to help us through these changes. Candidates will be interested in renewable energy, construction, engineering, project management, electrical work or computer-aided design.
"SunWorks may be a young company but we are growing fast. This initiative is intended to support Jersey people who are passionate about our environment and seeking to develop their careers in renewable energy."
