Elian has strengthened its recently launched commercial team with two senior appointments.
Lisa Mclauchlan has been appointed business development and marketing director, and Mari Hietala-David has been appointed to oversee marketing and business development for private equity and real estate funds.
Both positions are in Elian’s commercial team, which is responsible for the continual development of new products, and driving business growth and market share, whilst maintaining high levels of client service across the globe.
As part of the newly created role, Mrs Mclauchlan will oversee all marketing and business development activity across Elian’s service lines and 16 jurisdictions. She will be responsible for cementing relationships with clients and intermediaries in major markets, forging cross-functional relationships with established clients and the launch and promotion of new product lines.
Mrs Mclauchlan, who has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing communications, business development and operations, has joined Elian from Sure, where she was head of commercial operations across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Prior to this she held senior roles within the telco’s Caribbean offices. She holds an MBA from City University Business School and is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Institute of Directors.

Marketing and business development specialist Mrs Hietala-David has worked in the financial services industry for more than 15 years. She joined Elian from State Street, where she looked after marketing for the firms private equity and real estate business in Europe. Mrs Hietala-David, who holds a Masters in International Relations and Chartered Institute of Marketing postgraduate diploma, oversees the marketing and business development activity for Elian’s private equity and real estate services.
