Two Channel Islands’ professionals have joined Condor Ferries’ board as non-executive directors.

The operators says that Jennifer Carnegie in Jersey and Guernsey-based Andreas Tautscher bring extensive business and commercial experience to the business.

Mrs Carnegie runs Amicus business consultancy and is currently chair of Jersey Business, president of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce and on the board of the Channel Islands Cooperative Society.

Mr Tautscher is a chartered accountant and an experienced financial services’ former executive, with almost 30 years spent in banking, asset management and working on local government advisory committees.

John Napton, Condor’s CEO, said: “Andreas and Jennifer are experienced and respected professionals whose extensive expertise will make a significant contribution across the three elements of our business: essential freight, travel for islanders and the inbound visitor market.

“With the pandemic now hopefully behind us, we are at a pivotal time as we plan the future for Condor in the islands. These are extremely welcome and valued appointments to the board and I look forward to working closely with them both.”

Both Mrs Carnegie and Mr Tautscher took up their roles last month.

Condor Ferries is majority owned by the Columbia Threadneedle European Sustainable Infrastructure Fund, with Brittany Ferries holding a 25% stake.
