Ogier is pleased to be hosting an exhibition featuring exceptional wildlife artwork and pieces from renowned Post-Impressionist and Modern British artists at their Jersey offices.

The exhibition follows previous successful collaborations with London fine art experts Gladwell & Patterson and showcases leading wildlife artists as part of the theme for the curated collection. The wildlife theme will also be reflected in the Jersey Emerging Artists Prize competition, which will be launched during the exhibition, and is aimed at encouraging talented young artists who can take inspiration from the paintings.

A range of paintings from iconic artist and conservationist David Shepherd, whose most famous work meticulously captures Africa’s wildlife, will be on display alongside bronze animal sculptures and work from Nick Bibby who recently completed a life-size portrait of Dagu, the alpha male Sumatran orangutan at Jersey Zoo.

Work by a selection of Post-Impressionist and Modern artists will also be displayed, including pieces by Henri Le Sidaner who was greatly influenced by the Impressionists for his technique of subtly worked contrasts and masterful use of tone. Peter Van Breda is one of Britain's leading 'en plein' air painters. His enthusiasm for painting is driven by his excitement at capturing the light. Ivon Hitchens was a British Modern painter best known for his pure abstract, boldness of colour depictions of woodland landscapes that was exemplified by the Modern British artists of his day.

The unique and inspiring collection is open to the public, free of charge, between 9am – 12pm and 3pm – 5pm on Wednesday 6 November and also 8am – 12pm on Thursday 7 November at Ogier, 44 Esplanade, St Helier. Anyone who would like to come is asked to please email marie-claire@gladwellpatterson.com
