JIBS Events is hosting its 3rd Annual Real Estate & Real Estate Funds Conference in Jersey, on 12 June 2018, and welcomes a range of internationally recognised industry expert speakers including: Dr Walter Boettcher, Chief Economist (UK & EMEA) at Colliers International, and Dr Neil Blake, Global Head of Forecasting at CBRE.
Dr. Blake’s role at CBRE includes the co-ordination and development of forecasting services globally and he has overall responsibility for economic, property market and business forecasting in Europe. His extensive experience includes work for the Barker Review of Housing, Supply, the RICS City Office Model, “How Much Space?” for the BCSC, the IPF project on “Property and Inflation”, a retail strategy for the GLA and London’s Competitive Place in the World Economy for the Corporation of London.
Dr. Blake will be presenting on ‘Technology: The Industrial Real Estate Game Changer’.
Dr. Boettcher has over 20 years of UK/European experience across a wide range of property sectors and related industries. He joined Colliers International in 2007, after several years at a London-based private property company. Previously, he worked at several London-based property advisory companies and as a Geographical Information System (GIS) consultant for CACI Ltd – a UK-based census agency. Dr Boettcher is an economics graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and received a PhD (Geography) from University College London. He is a member of the Society of Property Researchers, the London Property Economics Forum, and is an active commentator in the UK and European property press, known for his alternative take on markets. Dr. Boettcher will be discussing ‘UK property market: cyclical, political or technological?’.
