The team at Jacksons are going the extra mile this summer to support people affected by a brain injury.
The motor dealership is encouraging hundreds to take to the roads on Sunday 23rdJune in aid of Headway Jersey, with a new race on the islands running calendar. There is a 10k run for adult individuals and teams and a 3k run for children aged 9 to 15.
A selection of iconic vehicles will line the start of the race at Les Quennevais track as the runners head off towards St Peter, past the Jacksons showroom, St George’s School, St Peter’s Parish Hall and St Peter’s FC before finishing back at Les Quennevais.
There are cash prizes up for grabs for the fastest men and women, and all those taking part in the 10k race will receive a stylish tee shirt and medal, with a medal for all 3k runners too.
Meanwhile Jacksons will be test driving the course for themselves with their own running team while their non-runners help marshal the race.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Andrew Searle, Head of Business at Jacksons said, “As a company committed to playing an active role in our local community, we are delighted to be supporting this exciting new race and hope it will raise thousands for this fantastic charity which provides essential services including a range of physical and cognitive rehabilitation programmes for islanders living with brain injuries.”
