Following the resounding success of the recent Heart Health and Epilepsy workshops, Jersey Cheshire Home is proud to announce its upcoming Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Awareness session.

This informative event will take place on Tuesday, 25th June, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the new Jersey Cheshire Home Community Centre in Green Street, St Helier.

The session, which is free of charge, will provide valuable insights into Motor Neurone Disease and its impact on individuals and their caregivers.

The event is designed as a drop-in session, open to all, including carers, healthcare professionals and anyone interested in learning more about MND.

Representatives of the Jersey branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association will be on hand to provide support and guidance and attendees will have the opportunity to chat to the teams and to access a range of useful resources.

Those attending the session will also learn more about the services offered at the Jersey Cheshire Home Wellbeing Centre, including hydrotherapy and gym facilities.

Refreshments will be available to purchase and as a special touch Jersey Cheshire Home residents will be making cupcakes for the event.

Commenting on the event, Sarah Jemson, Registered Manager at Jersey Cheshire Home, said, "We are thrilled to host this MND Awareness event at our new Community Centre. MND affects many individuals and their families, and it's crucial to spread awareness and understanding. This session aims to provide attendees with the knowledge and tools they need to support individuals with MND effectively."

"We encourage all members of the community to attend this informative session. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of those living with MND."
