Organisers of the Jersey Triathlon have announced a change of name for the headline sponsor following a Management Buy Out of the Trust and Fiduciary division of the Salamanca Group. The sponsor has re-launched as Accuro and accordingly the event will now be known as the Accuro Jersey Triathlon.
Whilst there has been a change in name of the headline sponsor, the event will remain unchanged. The event, which will again be centred at the Waterfront in St.Helier will take place on Sunday 9 July 2017 and will raise funds for the Oscar Maclean Foundation.
Paul Douglas, Managing Director of Accuro Trust (Jersey) Ltd said: “During the course of 2015 we started working with 3D Events and we became proud sponsors of the Jersey Triathlon. After the resounding success of the 2016 event we jumped at the opportunity of extending this partnership. Our businesses philosophy is built on being international, multi-dimensional, dynamic with the endurance to go the distance.
The Jersey Triathlon showcases the Island and we feel privileged to be associated with such a well organised, fun and professional sporting event and hope to do so for many years to come. It was only natural that our commitment continue under our new banner.”
Organisers are expecting the largest entry field to date in 2017, with over 500 people predicted to take part, of which over a hundred triathletes are coming from off island.
There are multiple race distances to choose from, to ensure that there is a suitable distance for every one whatever their ability and age.
