Rossborough Healthcare's popular free health check event is returning this February 2018 - offering several hundred islanders the chance to receive a range of specialist health checks and advice on how to proactively manage their health, free of charge.
Rossborough Healthcare is partnering with medial professionals and charities to provide two days of free health checks with a particular focus on heart conditions, respiratory, diabetes and cholesterol. The events will be held on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd February at the Radison Blu Waterfront Hotel.
After its success in previous years, Rossborough Healthcare has again teamed up with Dr Andrew Mitchell and his specialist cardiology team at the Jersey General Hopsital to provide comprehensive health checks using specialist equipment.
‘At Rossborough Healthcare we are passionate about promoting proactive health and that’s what this event is all about. Attendees will have access to some ground-breaking new technology and will receive advice from some of our finest local healthcare professionals,’ said Richard Clarke, head of Rossborough Healthcare.
Rossborough Healthcare’s previous health check events have led to a number of important interventions into people’s lives, including at the last event, the detection of a heart condition in an individual with no prior history or symptons.
The free event is open to all islanders over the age of 19 and will include cardio, respiratory, ECG, spirometry, diabetes and cholesterol tests. Experienced, qualified, local medical professionals will conduct tests and will be available to give immediate feedback on test results in a professional and confidential environment.
Some of Rossborough Healthcare’s key insurance partners, AXA, Aetna, Simplyhealth and Bupa, are co-sponsoring this year’s event.
Medical professionals and local charities, Optimal Health, Wellbeing World, Diabetes Jersey, British Heart Foundation, Heart for Life, Jersey Heart Support Group, Jersey Asthma, Clasado, Kit Chamier True Food and Cardiocity, will be on hand to offer advice and support.
Individuals wishing to attend the event must complete a simple pre-registration form on the Rossborough Healthcare health check website, for an appointment slot that will last approximately 30-40 minutes. These slots will be available from 08.00 – 12.45, and 13.45 – 17.30 on both days.
To provide an accurate consultation, attendees will be asked to fill in a basic health questionnaire during pre-registration to bring along to their designated appointments.
