Industry Leaders including the Chief Minister of Guernsey, Gavin St Pier joined Aon staff and business partners at the Old Government House Hotel to help Aon Guernsey celebrate 40 years in business.
Aon Guernsey is at the heart of an insurance sector that forms a strong pillar of Guernsey’s Financial Services Sector. Our success is built on our people, our values and giving our utmost for clients, colleagues and the community alike” said Paul Sykes, Managing Director of Aon Guernsey.
Aon Guernsey has gone from strength to strength, culminating in winning Business of the Year at the annual Guernsey Awards for Achievement in February 2017. Aon’s performance was recognised for innovation and growth, employing 28 new people over a two-year period. The award judges said “it was inspirational, a fantastic role model for Guernsey and how we (Guernsey) can punch above our weight on the international stage”.
Paul Sykes commented “Aon Guernsey’s success could not have happened without innovation and responsive regulators that paved the way not just for captive insurance but for insurance linked securities and commercial reinsurance to evolve in Guernsey,” said Paul Sykes.
Demonstrating Aon’s commitment to the island and to celebrate 40 years in business, Aon Guernsey proudly announced that they are now official principal sponsor of the Guernsey Ladies’ Rugby Team. Aon plays a leading role in supporting women’s rugby worldwide through its sponsorship of the Irish and Australian women’s rugby teams and partnership with the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 in Ireland.
“We have witnessed how women’s rugby has evolved to become a truly global sport that embodies many of the values we live and breathe at Aon – leadership, teamwork, diversity and integrity.” said Paul Sykes.
Aon Guernsey plans to further help and support the growth of the insurance sector to ensure our industry continues to innovate and grow.
