Carey Olsen associate, Nina Silva, has been admitted as an advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey and called to the Guernsey Bar.
Based in the firm’s trusts and private wealth group, Advocate Silva deals with all aspects of fiduciary law, advising high net worth clients and trustees on the establishment and administration of offshore trusts.
Her work at Carey Olsen involves advising on contentious and non-contentious trust and probate matters, preparing wills and advising on estate planning and the administration of estates for local and international clients.
Carey Olsen partner and head of the trusts and private wealth group, Russell Clark, said: “Carey Olsen places great importance on the continued training and development of its staff, and Nina is the twenty-fifth lawyer that we have supported through to the Guernsey Bar in the last ten years.
"We are delighted that our clients are able to benefit from her insight and invaluable advice."
Advocate Silva was previously admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Court of England and Wales and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She trained in Sussex and London before moving to Guernsey and joining Carey Olsen in September 2012. She successfully completed her Bar exams in May 2015 before studying in Caen.
