Rob Lowe has gained a first class honours degree in Building Surveying from Nottingham Trent University as well as being awarded the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Student of the Year Award for the East Midlands.
The CIOB Student of the Year Award considers hundreds of students each year at universities and colleges across the UK based on their commitment and academic excellence.
Mr Lowe has now returned to CCD Architects as a building surveyor where he first trained before starting his degree. He now plans to further his studies and qualify as a RICS chartered surveyor in the next few years.
Mr Lowe has specific interests in conservation and historic buildings and will be working on a diverse range of projects from CCD’s portfolio allowing him to gain experience across all types of work and building styles.
He said: “I’ve had a fantastic time studying for a degree but now I’m looking forward to applying what I’ve learnt to my new role at CCD.”
Chartered Architect and design director at CCD, Oliver Westgarth said: “We’re very lucky to have Rob come back and work for us after spending two years at university. His CIOB award is evident of his wide range of skills and knowledge in building surveying and we are looking forward to him contributing to our projects, and to helping him with the next stage of his studies.”
The CIOB is the world's largest and most influential professional body for construction management and leadership. The organisation works worldwide in the development, conservation and improvement of buildings.
