Co-operative Travelmaker has been shortlisted for ‘High Street Store of The Year’ at the 2015 Travel Trade Gazette awards – the most anticipated night in the travel trade’s calendar.
The shortlisting puts Travelmaker among a select group of top travel agencies in Great Britain.
"Being on the shortlist is a massive achievement as this is not a regional but a national recognition," said Travel Manager, Darren Davison.
"The key to our success is our wonderful team. Our colleagues all work together towards one common goal, which is total customer satisfaction. We realise that a holiday is a luxury purchase and it’s so important to get it right. It’s a challenge being part of a world where customers are bamboozled by ‘cheap’ online prices; our job is to advise customers correctly as cheap is not always cheerful and we aspire to find the best value for money we can."
In the 2014 Travel Trade Gazette Awards Travelmaker was one of seven agencies from across Britain shortlisted as ‘Travel Agent of The Year’.
"Being recognised as one of the top seven travel agencies in Britain is something we are extremely proud of at Travelmaker. Our team is a small operation when compared to the multiple agencies that grace the high streets across the country," said Mr Davison.
The winners will be announced on 28 September at London’s Lyceum Theatre, current home to the Lion King musical, with an after party held at the Savoy Hotel.
