Black Vanilla, a local media, events and public relations agency, has strengthened its team with a new appointment and a recent promotion.
Jocelyn Bisson, who has extensive experience in administrative and customer service roles, has joined the team as a Communications Assistant. Mrs Bisson will be responsible for providing administrative assistance across all areas of the business. She will also work on the agency’s largest national media account.
Having joined Black Vanilla in 2014 as a Communications Assistant, Stephanie Gordon has now been promoted to the role of Account Executive. Miss Gordon will focus on the public relations needs of Black Vanilla’s clients whilst also working towards the CIPR Foundation Award in Public Relations. Her day-to-day role will include media relations and social media activity.
Last year Black Vanilla celebrated its seventh anniversary and Managing Director, Jade Isabelle, is delighted with how far the business has come.
‘Black Vanilla was founded in 2008 with only two staff members and since then our team has grown significantly,’ explains Mrs Isabelle. ‘We now have six in-house members and six, ‘extended family members’ who act as consultants across the areas of media, PR and events. Our model allows us to put specialist teams together for clients in response to their individual needs.
'In a fast-paced and constantly changing creative industry, it is important that we all pursue continuous professional development so that we can offer the best possible service to our clients. We are delighted that Miss Gordon is taking her first steps towards a recognised public relations qualification.’ adds Mrs Isabelle.
