Guernsey played host to a STEP Employer Partnership Programme event on 6 December.
Representatives from 11 Guernsey-based companies met at Platinum Employer Partner Carey Olsen’s offices for a networking lunch, followed by an interactive workshop on Emotional Intelligence from Viv Roussel of Les Choix Consulting.
Jenni Hutchinson, Head of Employer Partnerships for STEP, said: “We were delighted to welcome so many local STEP employers to this important event for STEP in Guernsey. One of the key aims of the Employer Partnership Programme is to enable those responsible for the learning and development of STEP staff within their organisations to listen to new ideas on how to maximise performance and learn from fellow STEP employers through participation in the workshop.
“We thank Carey Olsen for their generous support of this event and look forward to running more in the future, with full support of the STEP Guernsey branch.”
The STEP Employer Partnership Programme was launched in April 2016 and now has 30 accredited partners globally, with a number of other companies working towards gaining their accreditation. The programme enables employers to benchmark their current learning and development provision against recommended standards; consequently gaining recognition of excellent practice within the industry.
