With this year’s Harbour Carnival less than three months away, local businesses are being urged to pledge £200 to enter their own fowl friend into the Corporate Duck Race.

Organised by the Guernsey Round Table and sponsored by RBC Wealth Management, this year’s Harbour Carnival will take place on 19 June, with the Corporate Duck Race launching the event, the first of several fun filled events planned for the evening. Funds raised at the Harbour Carnival will benefit the Lihou Charitable Trust.

Bruce Watterson of the Guernsey Round Table said: ‘The Corporate Duck Race is fantastically supported by local businesses. This is the fourth year we have held the race and it has definitely become a very competitive event amongst all the participating businesses and a much loved part of Harbour Carnival. In 2014, we had over 50 ducks taking part with Indulge Media taking first place.

‘If businesses are looking to take part for the first time or re-renter their duck from last year, all the details can be found on the Harbour Carnival website: www.harbourcarnival.gg. The deadline for entries is 5 June 2015.’

Lisa Barnett, from RBC Wealth Management, said: ‘This is our eighth year of sponsoring Harbour Carnival. The Corporate Duck Race is a part of a great, fun-filled family evening, which results in an impressive sum of money for the event’s main beneficiary. The more Guernsey businesses that support the Corporate Duck Race, the more funds will go to support the Lihou Charitable Trust.’
