Julian Lane continues his career at Louvre Group in a new Chief Operating Officer role.
Mr Lane will bring his board-level experience of the fiduciary and fund industries to the role. His mandate will include oversight of risk for the Louvre Fund and Louvre Trust divisions of the group. He will also report financial results and strategic plans for expansion of Louvre Group to the board.
Mr Lane was educated at Elizabeth College and Oxford Brookes University and continued his studies in the accountancy profession with Ernst Whinney. He focused on a wide range of clients operating in the financial world, conducting bank, captive insurance and fiduciary company audits. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
Mr Lane’s experience spans merchant banking, independent fiduciary groups and a hedge fund. He was worked in a variety of fund roles and has an in-depth knowledge of the offshore finance industry.
He joined Louvre Trust (Guernsey) Ltd in 2011 as a Fiduciary Director and was also appointed to the board of Louvre Fund Services Limited. Mr Lane was tasked with updating procedures, policies and processes for the fiduciary business and also oversaw technically complex client structures.
He was later appointed to Group Risk Director with a focus on ensuring that the other regional offices of the Louvre Group in the UK, Switzerland, Dubai and Hong Kong applied the group policy and processes. Mr Lane also standardised reporting for the Group board and managed the indemnity risk for the fiduciary group.
Derek Baudains, Chief Executive Office of Louvre Group comments: ‘We are delighted that Mr Lane has chosen to continue his career with the Louvre Group. We benefit enormously from his experience and standing in the offshore fund and fiduciary industry and he will play an important role in our expansion plans.’
