Chairman of the Garenne Group Stuart Falla has retired from the company he founded in 1984.

Andy Hall will take over as executive chairman and will be joined on the board by a new leadership team of Richard Jones, Martin Holmes and Marc Burton who will share the responsibility for the expansion and leadership of the group that currently employ 850 staff working in Guernsey, Jersey and the UK.

Mr Hall said: "Expansion in the UK market place is essential to secure continued prosperity for our business and this larger senior team will assist in securing that expansion. This reorganisation will allow us to allocate sufficient resource from our Channel Islands base to facilitate growth in the UK."

Mr Falla said: "I’ve enjoyed my time at the head of my family business but it is now time to hand over the chairmanship of the group to a man that I have worked with for 30 years. I will maintain my majority shareholding and will watch with interest as the team that I have helped build, continue to win fantastic and exciting contracts across the islands and in the UK."

Mark Palfrey and Nicole Falla remain as main board directors.
