With more than 10 years’ audit experience, Tina Asher has been promoted to audit manager at Saffery Champness.

Ms Asher joined Saffery Champness in 2015 as assistant audit manager after moving to Guernsey from Jamaica.

In her new role, Ms Asher will join the existing management team and help to build and grow business relationships.

As audit manager, she will lead audit teams servicing an expanding portfolio of clients and she will mentor junior team members.

Ms Asher was made a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2014, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica and recently became a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants Canada.

She enjoys volunteering and has helped with Saffery Champness’ clean-up projects at Delancey Park and at the Saffery Rotary Walk.

Audit partner at Saffery Champness, Jeremy Ellis, said: “Tina has been an asset to the team since she joined us and I am delighted to be able to promote her to manager. She will further enhance the management team’s technical capabilities and provide support to our trainees mentoring scheme.

“Saffery Champness has a strong culture of learning and development, leading to promotion opportunities within the firm and it’s great that we’ve been able to continue this with Tina’s promotion in what is our 40th year in the island.”
