Trust Corporation International is the headline sponsor of Get Fit Guernsey’s series of sporting challenges for 2016.

The series, which launched in 2015 with its inaugural try-a-tri event, will consist of five events throughout the year commencing with the try-a-trail run on 13 February.

As the series’ headline sponsor, Trust Corporation International will provide the race t-shirts for competitors as well as staffing support at the events.

Each sporting challenge raises funds for a different charity and the try-a-trail event will benefit Bowel Cancer Guernsey.

Maddy Diligent, owner of Get Fit Guernsey, said: “We’d like to thank Trust Corporation for coming on board and supporting us throughout 2016.

“These events are designed to be inclusive and friendly and the event t-shirts will be a big part of that. Our participants feel a sense of community by taking on these challenges together and this bond will be strengthened by Trust Corporation’s support.”

Amit Taylor, group managing director at Trust Corporation International, said: “Trust Corporation wanted to sponsor Get Fit Guernsey’s initiative as it combines a support for local charities with a lot of fun and all of the personal benefits that participation in sport brings. We have a very sporty team at Trust Corporation and we value and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

“Some of our staff took part in last year’s try-a-tri and really enjoyed themselves and seven members of staff will be competing in the upcoming try-a-trail event. The series is a fantastic opportunity for people of all abilities to really challenge and enjoy themselves while raising much needed funds for charity so we’re very pleased to support it.”
