165 new homes announced for Ann Court

Monday 22 May 2017

Andium Homes have announced plans to build 165 new homes on the Ann Court site as well as pedestrianise the area outside the Arts' Centre, and offer more than 100 parking spaces.

Andium Homes say the project will regenerate the area by not only delivering new homes but also by providing shopper parking spaces and a new public space.

Mike Porter, Head of Operations at Andium Homes, said: “We are delighted to be progressing with this exciting regeneration project. There are obvious benefits which will be derived from such a major development, not only in terms of the economy and regeneration of town, but also in the delivery of these much needed homes.”

Plans drawn up in collaboration with the Parish Roads Committee, will see Providence Street being closed to traffic and a new one-way system introduced improving traffic in the area, and making it safer for pedestrians.

Speaking about the plans, Minister for Housing, Deputy Anne Pryke, said: “I am immensely pleased to see plans submitted to redevelop Ann Court. The development will provide new affordable and high quality homes for islanders, and will support further regeneration in this area of St Helier with enhanced amenity space for residents, improved pedestrian access and convenient shopper parking."
